Philippines: Rodrigo Duterte ordered to kill the rebels, told police, 'Quit worrying about human rights'

 A spokesman for the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, defended his order, stating that the President has ordered only armed rebels to be killed. Despite this, the government will investigate Sunday's police action. At least nine people have died in police action.

Police gave clarification

Lt. General Antonio Parlade, head of the anti-libel task force, told news agency Reuters that the police action was completely in line with the law. Police had warrants to investigate weapons and explosives. Whereas the human rights activists say that the police did everything according to a well thought-out strategy. According to him, so far thousands of innocent people have been killed in President Duterte's alleged war against drugs. In most cases, the police argue that the opponents had weapons and were resisting their arrest.
